Frantic Kids Club

Frantic Kids Club is the mid-week children’s club based at Cockerton Methodist Church. It is for children of Primary School age and takes place on Wednesday afternoons from 4:45-6:00pm during term time.

We have just entered our second year – Frantic was launched in January 2007. This first year has been a great year getting to know and spend time with the youngsters who attend the club. We have a regular core group of children who come to the club; most of them started out with no church connections and some now get involved in other activities that the church offers and join us for worship on Sunday mornings.

A normal week at Frantic Kids Club will have a variety of activities including: games; creative activities; a Bible story told in many ways from simple story telling, video presentation or drama and role play; worship in which actions and sign language are used; a message to help the children apply what they have learned from the Bible to their lives; and we explore prayer in creative ways.

Each term we also include some alternative sessions which can vary from a film night, games night and even a party just before Christmas. Over the last year, some the themes we have looked at have included the Stories of Jesus, the Fruit of the Spirit, Joseph and David and helping the children to discover more about God and the people that he wants us to be.
