How to find us

From the north

Travel south on the A1[M] and leave it at Junction 58.   Take the A68 [first exit] sign-posted to Darlington.   Continue on the A68 until you come to a mini-roundabout at the bottom of the hill in Cockerton Village.   Take the second exit and  travel along this road for about one hundred yards.   Cockerton Green is on your left after about fifty yards.   Cockerton Methodist Church can be reached by the footpath that goes across the Green.

From the south

Travel north on the A1/A1[M] to Junction 57 with the A66[M].   Take the A66[M] to the end.   At the roundabout take the first exit and travel up and over the hill to a roundabout with Vardy’s car showrooms on the right.   Take the first exit sign-posted Barnard Castle and travel along until you meet another roundabout with a petrol station on the right corner.   Take the second exit and continue along the road past a cemetery on the left up and over a rise down to a mini-roundabout.   Take the second exit here and stay in the left-hand lane as you immediately come to a second mini-roundabout.   Take the first exit and travel in the left-hand lane about one hundred yards before coming to another mini-roundabout.   Take the first exit and travel about one hundred yards.   Cockerton Green is on your left-hand side and the church is on the left hand-side of the Green.

From the west

Follow the A67 from Barnard Castle, past Gainford and Piercebridge, over the A1[M] and into the western end of Darlington.   At the roundabout with Elm Ridge Garden Centre on the right corner take the first exit and continue along the road past a cemetery on the left up and over a rise down to a mini-roundabout.   Take the second exit here and stay in the left-hand lane as you immediately come to a second mini-roundabout.   Take the first exit and travel in the left-hand lane about one hundred yards before coming to another mini-roundabout.   Take the first exit and travel about one hundred yards.   Cockerton Green is on your left-hand side and the church is on the left hand-side of the Green.

From the east

Take the A66 and continue along it until the 5-exit roundabout with Vardy’s garage on the left.   [If coming along the A67 follow it until its junction with the A66.]   Take the third exit, sign-posted Barnard Castle and travel up the hill and along until you meet another roundabout with a petrol station on the right corner.   Take the second exit and continue along the road past a cemetery on the left up and over a rise down to a mini-roundabout.   Take the second exit here and stay in the left-hand lane as you immediately come to a second mini-roundabout.   Take the first exit and travel in the left-hand lane about one hundred yards before coming to another mini-roundabout.   Take the first exit and travel about one hundred yards.   Cockerton Green is on your left-hand side and the church is on the left hand-side of the Green.
